Occupational Therapy is a branch of Health Care that helps people of all ages who have physical, sensory, or cognitive problems, and is geared towards those recuperating from physical or mental illness. Occupational Therapists help with barriers that affect a person’s emotional, social, and physical needs, and assist patients in developing, recovering, and improving, as well as maintaining the skills needed for daily living and working.

What is Speech Therapy?

Speech Therapy is the therapeutic treatment of impairments and disorders of speech, voice, language, communication, and swallowing. Treatment is usually administered by a specialist known as a Speech and Language Pathologist, who assesses, diagnoses, treats, and helps to prevent these disorders. These trained specialists must be able to listen to and communicate with their patient in order to determine the right course of treatment.

What is Physical Therapy?

Physical Therapy is a branch of Rehabilitative Health that uses specially designed exercises and equipment to help patients regain or improve their physical abilities. It is the treatment of disease, injury, or deformity by physical methods such as massage, heat treatment, and exercise, rather than by drugs or surgery. A Physical Therapist focuses on improving a client’s ability to perform movement of the body.
